FAQ
all the things you might be wondering
What should I wear?
Wear something that makes you feel fancy! Our family and wedding party will be wearing shades of green and you're encouraged to join the color scheme if that feels right. As for shoes, note that the terrain is a mix of gravel and old wooden floorboards.
If you choose to wear a big white dress, our officiant might mistake you for the bride and you'll end up married to Bryce.
Will we be outside?
Our ceremony and much of our reception will take place outside. However, if the weather is not in our favor, there are plenty of indoor spaces we can use.
What's the weather going to be like?
Late April can have unpredictable weather in Western NC, so plan to bring layers for the evening. Perhaps a fancy coat that you've been waiting for a reason to wear? Average highs in late April are in the high 60s to low 70s, and average nighttime temperatures are in the 40s. It might rain, and if it rains, you might get wet. That's part of the fun, right?
Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?
Yes!
What's the deal with parking?
There is no parking on site. Guests should plan to park in downtown Marshall, where street parking is free and abundant. The venue is a 3–5 minute walk from anywhere you might park. It is up a hill, so if you are not able to comfortably walk up a hill, feel free to get dropped off closer to the Inn.
How early can I arrive at the venue?
3:30 PM on the day of the wedding, unless you're a part of the family, wedding party, or staying at the Marshall House Inn. If you come any earlier, you'll spoil the surprise for yourself!
Are tiny humans invited?
This is an adults-only party. Please enjoy a night off from parenting.
Can I bring a plus one?
We've planned our wedding to be small and intimate, so we've only invited people that we know personally. We kindly ask that you do not bring any friends or partners that haven't been invited.
What's the situation with food?
Come hungry. Charlie (Kassidi's Dad) will be catering and he'll ensure that we're well-fed all night. Please be sure to indicate any allergies or dietary restrictions on your RSVP so he can plan accordingly.
What about alcohol?
Since this venue is actually a full-property rental and there are no rules around alcohol, we plan to have plenty of beer, cider, seltzer, wine and non-alcoholic options for everyone to enjoy. We won't have a bartender, but if you're lucky, you may be blessed by one of our designated party fairies with an Underberg or Smirnoff Ice. You're welcome to bring other booze if you wish. We do ask that if you're drinking, you behave yourself and don't drive.
Can I take pictures with my phone?
During the ceremony, please put your phone away. After that, feel free. Just be sure to send them to us!
Will we be able to hang out while I'm in town?
Yes! We have intentionally planned for extra time to spend with our family and friends traveling from out of town. We would love for you to stay a few extra days in Asheville if you can, and plan to schedule some group hangouts before and after the wedding for anyone who is around.
How can I get ahold of you if I have questions leading up to the wedding?
You are welcome to text either of us, or send an email to kozlowski.rhinehart@gmail.com! On the day of the wedding, we'll share a number that you can text if you run into any issues or have last minute questions.
